AC Milan will face Empoli tomorrow afternoon and after the win against Lazio last weekend, the Rossoneri will be looking to put pressure on Juventus once again. As per a report, Stefano Pioli is expected to make a few XI changes.

Milan didn’t have the best of games against Slavia Praha, nor against Lazio, but at least managed to build some confidence with the wins. Given the tight schedule, Pioli is preparing to make some changes to the XI, as per Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo).

Davide Calabria will replace the suspended Alessandro Florenzi at the back, while Malick Thiaw or Fikayo Tomori will partner up with Matteo Gabbia at the back. The midfield has not been decided yet, but the feeling is that Ismael Bennacer and Tijjani Reijnders could be the starters.

Up front, Rafael Leao is suspended and Noah Okafor will thus take his spot, while Luka Jovic should replace Olivier Giroud in the No.9 role. Samuel Chukwueze is in the running for a starting spot but Christian Pulisic, especially given the goal last time out, could be given the nod again.

In short, some expected changes from Pioli who doesn’t want a repeat of the Monza rotation mistake.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw/Tomori, Gabbia, Hernandez; Bennacer, Reijnders; Pulisic/Chukwueze, Loftus-Cheek, Okafor; Jovic.
