Montana is one of the coldest states in the country (alongside Alaska, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Vermont, to name a few). Still, their winter (and spring) has to end sometime, and with that, their ski season.

Some resorts already closed, such as Whitefish, which had their closing day on April 7th. See below.

Showdown has also already closed as of April 7th. Discovery Mountain also closed on April 7th.

But not all Montana resorts have closed, and we understand that getting as many lift-accessed turns in as possible is important. Which is why it's time to mark your calendars and plan out your final days at exact resorts to max out the season.

Starting off with Big Sky, owned by Boyne (fun fact: that is the same company who owns Sugarloaf!) Big Sky's last day running lifts is scheduled to be April 28th.

Big Sky is also changing up their chairs for next season, increasing uphill capacity significantly.

"This Sunday, April 14 will be the last day to visit the Madison Base area and Moonlight Basin terrain so we can begin to break ground on Madison 8, our new state-of-the-art eight-place chairlift that will replace Six Shooter 6 and transform next winter’s ski experience." See below.

Bridger Bowl has projected a closing date of April 14th, just two days away. Before then, however, there will be live music from Bad Neighbor in the Jim Bridger lodge.

Maverick closed on March 31st, after a closing party on March 30th.

Blacktail Mountain is closing on the 14th, and there will be live music from 3-5pm on the 13th (tomorrow). See below.

Let's not get down about the end of ski season. It was an epic one, and there's no better time for skiing than spring, when live music, pond skims, parties, and warm weather combine with the sport we all love to make some last-minute memories.
